RESIDENT EVIL Reboot Producer Wants To See Even More Action In The Next Movie

It appears as if we can forget seeing the planned Resident Evil reboot go down the survival horror route as one of the movie's producers says he wants to see even more action in the franchise!

Plans to reboot the Resident Evil franchise were revealed just four months after the release of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, and while it feels far too soon to revisit the property, a lot of fans have been excited about the prospect that the series is going to embrace the survival horror aspect of the games (especially with The Conjuring director James Wan set to produce).

Well, it now appears as if we're going to have to forget that. Japanese video game and anime producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has been involved with Resident Evil since day one and ahead of the release of animated movie Resident Evil: Vendetta, he revealed his hopes that the live-action reboot is going to remain focused on blockbuster action.

"I personally like Paul W.S. Anderson’s [direction] on the live-action [films]," Kobayashi revealed. "Stuff like that, I would like to see more action." Luckily, it sounds as if this is more of an opinion than the actual plan for the next Resident Evil movie as it would be nice to see a bigger focus put on horror over CGI action sequences. We'll just have to wait and see...
