Skirmishes Will Be No More In BATTLEFRONT As EA Prepares For Sequel

EA is actually listening and has some good news regarding the upcoming second installment of Star Wars: Battlefront. Click the jump to see what changes will be coming.

EA has gotten a boatload of advice from players who purchased their latest Star Wars project, Battlefront. From the number of blasters used in the game to fact that there wasn't a single-player campaign offline, Battlefront and more importantly EA has been put through the ringer. So as they get hard at work on Battlefront 2, EA has revealed that Skirmishes won't factor into the new game at all.

Skirmish was released in the game late after it had launched as a means to give players the ability to tackle modes such as Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron offline with the help of A.I. players. The announcement that Skirmishes are taking the backburner from here on out reveals that EA and DICE are actually sticking true to their word about the second game having an actual single-player campaign.

While EA and DICE make minor upgrades and advancements for the current Battlefront game, their true focus is placed on the sequel and making it a good game, something they more or less failed to do with the current one. It always helps that DICE isn't working on this game alone, as they'll be joined by Criterion and Motive.

Heres to hoping their latest efforts pay off.
