STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT II Will Not Have A Season Pass
One of the many problems players had with the recent Battlefront game is that there was a season pass that cost 100 dollars and gave you essentially nothing. Sure, you got some cool new blasters and a few maps included in the purchased DLCs, but nothing monumental was provided. EA had players shell out a lot of dough for a couple of chess pieces, and that ticked off a lot of people. So to remedy the situation and cease any problems with the upcoming game, creative director Bernd Diemer nixed the whole season pass nonsense in the butt. When the game comes out, players wont even be given the option to waste 100 bucks on something stupid. "We don't want to segment our community... for this type of game, season passes are not the best thing."
Fans of the Battlefront series can rejoice. EA announced last weekend that there will not be a season pass for the second Battlefront game. Click the jump for more details.
EA and Dice then went on to clarify what they will be focusing on when it comes to the game and the player's overall experince. "While we're not ready to confirm any live service plans just yet, what we can say is this we heard the feedback from our Battlefront community loud and clear. We know they want more depth, more progression, and more content. So we’re focused on delivering that in every dimension of Star Wars Battlefront II. We’ll have more to share about our plans soon."
