HALO 6 Will NOT Be Revealed At Microsoft's E3 Press Conference

Brian Jarrard, 343 Industries' Halo Community Manager recently broke the news whilst responding to a fan on a Reddit community update thread.

Brian Jarrard stated that ‘in the name of realistic expectations’ 343 Industries have ‘a little something at E3 but it’s not related to the next major entry in the [Halo] franchise’. Whilst this is incredibly disappointing news as the majority of the fanbase was overwhelmingly excited for the reveal of the latest Halo, at least it confirms that 343 Industries are taking their time to create the game that they want to create with the polish it needs for the reveal and launch, rather than it being rushed to meet an unrealistic launch causing multiplayer connectivity issues or a severe lack of content.

There might be some ignored good news in this response though as Brian Jarrard said ‘not related to the next major entry in the franchise’… What if the ‘little something’ is the reveal of a fully-remastered Halo 3 or the announcement of a Halo 3: ODST sequel as a Halo 5: Guardians expansion pack or a separate game running on the same engine. Or, perhaps, 343 Industries will announce PC ports of the Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians as the forge mode of Halo 5: Guardians is already available on PC.

The news does remove some of the E3 excitement away from the Halo fanbase, but it also sparks up anticipation for Microsoft’s E3 press conference as the announcements will be brand new games or returning franchises rather than Microsoft’s norm of Gears of War and Halo.
